I was born in the town of Clarksville, TN on October 10, 1979. After only living a few months there, my family moved to Germany where my father was stationed in the ARMY. I spent 3 years in Germany, hardly any of which I can remember, and then my family moved to Colorado Springs. I spent another 3 short years in Colorado before finally settling down in Georgia. Before coming to Georgia Tech, I lived in Snellville where I attended Brookwood High School. High school wasn't all I expected it to be, but I made the most of the 4 years I was there. I was really excited when I knew I would be going to school at Georgia Tech. That quickly changed after my first semester at Tech. The classes were such a change from high school. You actually have to study here. While I might not care for some of my classes at Tech too much, I am glad I came here because I met a ton of great people, including my fiancée Sabrina Smith. After spending 2 1/2 years as a Mechanical Engineering major, I finally realized that just wasn't for me. I transferred to the Building Construction program and absolutely love it! The program is very small compared to any of the Engineering schools at Tech, so everything is a lot more personal. I've gained a number of friends through the program, as well as invaluable contacts throughout the industry. I'm graduating in May of this year and will be going to work as a Superintendent for a custom homebuilder here in Atlanta called Housing Trends. I'm currently working as an intern there and get a kick out of going to work everyday on multimillion dollar houses. Eventually I plan to start a company with a friend of mine who is an Architect major at Georgia Tech. I got engaged to Sabrina in June of 2002 and we are going to be married in May of 2004. The wedding will most likely be at my old church in Snellville with the reception at the Northwood Country Club in Lawrenceville. If you would like to attend my wedding, send me an e-mail me and I'll see if you're not already on our list. |
